Seal coating

Seal coating is a process of applying a protective layer of asphalt sealer to a pavement surface. The purpose of seal coating is to protect the pavement from oxidation caused by water and sun exposure, as well as to fill small cracks and voids in the pavement to prevent further damage. Seal coating also helps to improve the overall look of the pavement and may even increase the life of the pavement by up to 10 years.
